It was a beautiful Sunday morning but we didn’t knew since
we were all dozing off in our beds and lost in dreams going on a date with a
girl in it. We would be in the top most level of romance when suddenly we see a
bright flash of light hitting our eyes, its none other than the sun which would
be hitting right on our face. With great abuses we used to get out of the bed
and look at the time, it would be already past 9.Thinking of the dream we used rush
to canteen to have our breakfast and feeling comfortable after getting some
food to have, we would start planning for the days work.This is how every Sunday
goes off in the hostel...
But this particular Sunday was something different something which i didn’t guess it would be. After having breakfast i returned back to hostel and roamed around the reception area hunting for a glance of English newspaper to check out hot news of the past day but couldn’t find out one and so my attention turned towards tv where a beautiful song from the film "Earam" was playing and i settled off there watching it along with my friends.
Every Sunday we used to have outing (ie) we could roam around the city from afternoon 2 to evening 8. That is the only day when we are released out of SaiRam Campus, so on that Sunday too we friends planned to go for a diwali release "Peranmai" film at Tambaram itself. We had our lunch and boarded the bus to Tambaram. The show was around 2.30 so we waited outside the theatre sweating under the hot sun in the queue for the tickets. We bought the tickets and watched the film. It was a nice one and i really enjoyed a lot since its main storyline was on NCC and me too being a cadet got too involved to the film. Once the film got over we came back to the place where usually we board bus to reach back to our college. Its nearby to a Adyar Anandha Bhavan at Tambaram.
Here is where the real entertainment begins for us all. Every Sunday around the dusk we could find lot of couples, teenage girls, etc with their guys who come here to spend all money they have bought. This is a treat for us guys. That day too after returning from theatre we waited nearby to that restaurant for our college bus. A car came and halted before us and a family of five got down from it. One among it was a girl of our age. At first we guys a group of four didn’t notice her but one from the nearby gang came and told us "machi paruda oru super figure vandhiriku" and at an instance all our eyes turned towards her. Even she too realised that we were looking at her and we even thought that she would move off with a single glance, but she stood there at the entrance long and had frequent looks at us. This is almost enough for a boy to lose his sleep for the entire week. At first we friends thought that she was looking at us but later when i turned to call one of my other friend i found out that the entire gang of our college standing around there were looking at her only. The thing that attracted all towards her was that she was looking simple wearing a pink salwar and a cute smile on her face. Luck doesn’t last for long and she went off inside the restaurant with her family. We boarded the bus and till we reached the college the girl was the hot topic discussed by everyone.
