INDIA…INDIA
As every time it comes out from our mouth, we get some kind
of power and strength within us. I guess I am right. The peninsular nation with
the mighty water bodies and the incredible Himalayan mountain ranges protect
its well cultured people. We have excelled in almost everything which makes us
distinct from the rest of the world. It’s a kind of proud thing which each and
every Indian must know it rather than spoiling the name of the country doing
unwanted activities and gaining media attention.
Though India ranks in the top list of corruption there is no
point in talking of it. Who is not corrupt here? Everyone are, but only few get
exposed outside and we get the chance of blaming them for the under progress of
our country.
Moving away from that topic let me come to the point. As
mentioned before Indians have excelled in every field right from ancient time.
Recently I made a visit to the “PINK CITY” (i.e.) Jaipur in Rajasthan. Visiting
the forts, palaces, etc didn’t fascinate me much as how the Jantar Mantar did.
It is an observatory built by the first king of Rajasthan Raja Sawai Man Singh.
He had built such observatories at 6 different places in our country. One at
Jaipur and the rest are at New Delhi, Agra, Mathura, Ujjain, and Gwalior. Each and
every piece of instruments present there showed the excellence of then
architects. It even houses the world’s largest Sun Dial (time calculated based
on Sun’s rays) and has even listed out in the Guiness Book of Records. I
calculated the time using the Sun’s rays and was shocked that it showed the
exact one only with a delay of 2 seconds. Instruments to measure the angle of
sun’s ray, to locate the North Pole star, to calculate the 12 birth signs, etc
were built to such perfection that none can find fault with it. I felt pride
for being an Indian.
